Dear Jussi, Marju, Desmond, Antti, and Jouni! 05:10 Oct 30, 2007
I agree with you on the choice of Latin terms in vivo/in vitro. Personally, I am familiar with these terms and have used them several times in my translations. Somehow, I would like to reward Marju for her efforts to translate the whole sentence in a traditional, Finnish way. NB In regard to my initial question, I have accidentally wrote the wrong title - my main concern was the use of the verbs KATTAA vs. KOSKEA. In accordance with the "Kielitoimiston Sanakirja", the preference is given to the verb "KOSKEA", e.g. Sopimus ei kattanut [paremmin: koskenut] kaikkia palkansaajia. If somebody would like to participate in such discussion, pls. let me know, and I would create a new question. Thank you! I greatly appreciate your help and time. |
