English term or phrase: booking
Hello,

In a sales policy, I come across the term 'booking' multiple times but for some reason I am stuck with the term 'contrat' and I am wondering if I am right.

For instance:
The general terms for the compensation of sales bookings include: (contrats de vente?)
• Commissionable license and subscription bookings (contrats de licence et d'abonnement soumis à commissions? )will receive the yyyy quota credit and commission.

Booking ne pourrait-il pas également dire : engagements ?
Merci pour votre aide !

agree  Daryo: Sous-entendu: prise de commandes fermes // "maybe / will confirm it later" doesn't count, at least I've never heard of a sales team where it would.
