anglais term

act. xx margin no. xx

anglais vers français Droit / Brevets Droit (général)
Hello everyone,

Just a quick question about an abbreviation I came across in a judgment written in English: "act. xx margin no. xx" (xx being numbers)".

From what I understand, "act." refers to some kind of document, and I was wondering what it stands for.

Many thanks for your help!

Regards,
Caroline

Context? I have reservations about Renate's answer because when "act" means "acte," there's no reason to put a period after it in English, since "act" is the entire word.

Can you tell from the surrounding text what is being referred to?

I did initially translate as you suggested, so that's confirmed, thank you very much Renate :-)
