well there are alot of ways of expresing feelings & there is nothing wrong in Mai tumhe bahut zyaada yaad karta hoon.

mujhe tumhaari bahut yaad aati hai

the literal meaning of the above sentence is " i remember you very much" but this is what people use in Hindi language to say that they miss some one.
