had a little allegory to illustrate every point; and theory

angol - magyar Művészet/irodalom Költészet és irodalom had a little allegory to illustrate every point; and theory
There was no single type that could be called "the Wilde story." They varied according to the talker's mood. Some, like the pleasant story of "Aunt Jane" printed by Graham Robertson in his Time Was, were in the vein of a gentle social satire. Some, like that which was later elaborated into A Florentine Tragedy, were sensational in an Elizabethan manner, others were delicate in fantasy, and there were many parables in the Biblical style, some of which we have already quoted, used to convey a lesson which could hardly have been pleasing to the orthodox Biblical student. Stories were such a necessary -part of Wilde’s conversation that had a little allegory to illustrate every point; and theory.

Kérdések az írásjelekről "Stories were such a necessary -part of Wilde’s conversation that had a little allegory to illustrate every point; and theory."
