Contexto: "9th bin sums up all gated data at each view". Se trata de un equipo para tomografía sincronizada (gated tomography) y esta es una de las características del equipo que garantiza que toda la data tomográfica es capturada, aún cuando falle la sincronía con el ritmo cardiaco

Me estoy basando en lo siguiente:
1) Un artículo de la Universidad de Hardvard sobre "Gated SPECT" (Single photon emission computed tomography) donde, aparentemente, "bin" es sinónimo de "frame" (cuadro, terminología de imágenes):
"The acquisition computer is used to define the number of bins (frames) in which the RR interval are to be divided. [...] The data from the first 1/8 of the cardiac cycle are stored in bin 1 (frame 1)." http://brighamrad.harvard.edu/education/online/Cardiac/Gated...
2) Un libro titulado "The Cleveland Clinic Cardiology Board Review", donde dicen:
"In gated imaging, the RR interval of the ECG is usually divided into 8 or 16 equal time bins (frames)..." (http://books.google.com/books?id=q9WwVCSQmWkC&pg=PA68&lpg=PA...
3) Un artículo de la Universidad de Toledo:
"SPECT gating can be acquired in 8 or 16 bins (frames)." (http://hsc.utoledo.edu/medicine/cardiology/sinc/archives/II/...
En fin, hay varios más, pero con eso alcanza para proponer esta posibilidad. Si necesitas un sinónomo, podría ser "segmento de tiempo" o alguna cosa similar. La idea es que cortan las imágenes en trozos temporales.
