This is from "Nevada" in the book "Problems" by John Updike: "She climbed from the pool and slapfooted to his side, shivering." Can you please suggest some possible translations for "slapfooted"? (this is for a workshop Im attending these days, and, apparently, this term does not exist in the dictionary)
