Finnish term or phrase: jaekoko
How would you translate the term "jaekoko" here?

"Kartonkitehtaalla otettiin käyttöön esimurskain kartonkimateriaalin käsittelyyn sopivaan jaekokoon"

= "A pre-shredder was brought into use at the cardboard plant to a [????] suitable for the processing of cardboard material."

jaekoko (typo for raekoko?)
grain size

Explanation:
I'm somewhat familiar with cardboard manufacturing techniques, and so the first thing that comes to mind about jaekoko is whether it's a question of a typo here: should it be raekoko ' grain size'? Please see pp. 24 - 25 in the reference below, where the example is taken from.

Example sentence(s):
  • Pastan raaka-aineena käytettyjen täyteaineiden raekoot ovat titaanidioksidin hyvin pienistä 0,5 mikrometriä partikkeleista, kaoliinin maksimissaan 5,0 mikrometriin.

grain-size fraction

Explanation:
"Jae" refers to a continuity of grain sizes, e.g beginning from 1 mm to 2 mm. Apparently "fraction-size" means almost the same, at least according to Google-hits.
