French term

VNE

French to English Tech/Engineering Aerospace / Aviation / Space helicopter crash
Accident report of a helicopter crash in a canyon. Aircraft hit canyon wall about 2/3 of the way down.
Theories about the cause of the accident:

The abbreviation is international (English being the international language of aviation, shipping, etc.)

agree zaphod : English:"Never exceed velocity" Interesting the use of the same letters in French.

Thanks. A lot of the more "formal" abbreviations (as opposed to email shorthand) can be expected to be the same, English being the language used as standard in aviation.
