Hi,

I have been translating this as "fracture treatment" but this may not be the correct word here, any ideas?

"Le procédé comprend une étape d'équilibrage des contraintes internes générées dans la structure fragilisée composite au cours de l'étape c) d'application d'un traitement de fracture, de sorte à éviter des déformations de la structure fragilisée pouvant diminuer la qualité de la fracture et de la cristallisation."

@claude-andrew once the weakaned substrate is "fracturé" according to the "plan de fragilization", the detached structure is recovered in order to crystallize the layer of amorphous silicon into single-crystal silicon.

the patent is about a method for making a thick crystalline layer. I am no expert on this so maybe my explanation isn't that clear

Can you give a more precise definition of the domain? What substances are involved? And does "composite" refer to a composite material? I assume the fracture is deliberate, given that "qualité de la fracture" is referred to?

if this doc. was medical I would put "fracture" without hesitation, I may not have put enough context, so here is another instance of "fracture":

"L'étape c d'application d'un traitement de fracture comporte l'application d'un traitement thermique de fracture, notamment à au moins une température comprise entre la température ambiante et 600°C, ..."
