Its probably not an automaton (usually a mathematical/conceptual term), I just added that in case. You're probably dealing with a PLC (an "automate programmable").

Hmm... Partie is a poser. The ideal thing would be to check with the author/client.

However, \"param.ini\" being probably a filename (I wish more people followed standard notation and rendered the extension in all caps).

Reading it one way, I see \"launch the PLC portion of the boot/initialisation file\".
