French to English Tech/Engineering Computers: Software
From instructions for adding a client to a network backup server:

"Il faut supprimer la ligne ajoutée spécifiquement pour l'archive du nouveau client (ligne double-barrée)."

I know that this is a double-stroke line of some sort, but what's the orientation -- horizontal, vertical, diagonal? (I'm not sure what it looks like on the screen.)

I have a French system/keyboard so I cannot check this oiut but if you go into Word, format, Font, down at the bottom you should see a list of little boxes to check - one is "barré" in French, another "double-barré". If you're working in Eng., go see

agree Tony M : I think it's usually 'tsrikethrough' as one word (though like you, I can't chek that!); also, my Word says 'barré double', just to be awkward!
