How would you phrase this? I'm translating instructions for installing a satellite dish and you have to make sure...
qu’il n’y a aucun obstacle (végétation, bâtiment, …) dans la direction du Sud où se trouvent les satellites
I know what it means but I just can't think of the right word. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

trees or bushes
Vegetation would also be OK, but googling through dish installation instructions suggests that trees are usually the only vegetation that causes problems, so perhaps should be specifically mentioned.

Comment: "That will do quite nicely!! As Tony says, it's more suitable for the layman. Thanks!"
