Thinking of the instruments on my car dashboard, I wonder if PH might indeed by "pression d'huile" and TE "température élevée", which must surely be standard indications of engine status. My car, at least shows oil pressure, oil temp., and water temp.

Oil and water temperatures are shown by gauges on my car, but a red "high temperature" warning light comes on if one (or other? I don't know which) exceeds a certain temperature.

: Yes, from the look of the beast, and the FR use of the word 'indicateur', I suspect this is in fact as you say just a warning light

: I think your second suggestion of 'temperature' is more likely to be correct than 'high voltage' // What I usually do is post a second answer (you get told off!), and then hide the original; unofficial, but it works!
