épicène

Non-PRO French to English Social Sciences General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters VOCABULARY
I've a translation dictionary of more than 550 000 translations where the French word "épicène" doesn't figure!!!
All translation sitesI visited give a wrong (or totally bad) translation.

Would be one way of using it in certain modern contexts, though linguistically, historically, that would not have been the traditional term for it. You might not find a word for it in EN, since of course English nouns don't generally change anyway for different genders; at best, a different word may be used, such as actor/actress etc.

So the answer you need will very much depend on what context you wish to use it in.
