Trying to find a neat way of phrasing this in English. Any ideas welcome. Context is an insurance policy definition of a family as "parents et enfants fiscalement à charge".

I think this has come up before. This isn't very neat, but I don't think you can make it any shorter.

I think that 'dependent child' is the more usual legal phrase.

I think that "claimed" does the trick in English. It implies for tax purposes.
