Hi all,

I'm working on a document about the processes for creating customer accounts in SAP. I'm having trouble with the term "rattachement hiérarchique." (reporting line?), but more specifically how one might "affectue" a reporting line?!! Further down the text we also find the term "effectue le rattachement marché."

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Daryo Nov 11, 2019: it confirms what would anyway be the only interpretation to make sense: the "hierarchy" in question is the way how the database is structured - for example: the top level is the whole company - next level would be say by countries etc .... Le SIAC effectue le rattachement hiérarchique. = the team "Systèmes d’Information et Analyses Commerciales (SIAC)" is the one to decide where to insert this data in the hierarchical tree representing the structure of all data

Hi David,
I would translate effectuer here as "to establish" or "to setup", as it is clear that the person has been assigned this task. I would use either "chain of command" or "reporting line" for "hierarchique".
