Phil, for the info. Didn't know that. I did find the question I linked to there, but only under "KudoZ open glossary," not under "KudoZ"--they had to make this confusing, didn't they?

As for Proseminar, I can't remember having seen this even once during my time at uni and I didn't know this was used in English (which is why, apologies to Kartik, I deleted my agree, as I initially thought this was a DE-DE question).

Still not sure how many people will understand what's meant here, but I did find a few UK references:

However, the last one seems to be a "doctoral proseminar," the second requires students to hold a presentation. Neither seems to match the explanations in DE.

You can search for entries with fewer than three characters, but Hermien is right in saying that this term doesn't come up. I agree that it's better to use Google to search the glossary - you can just enter the term plus "proz".

I wasn't familiar with 'proseminar'. Webster's says 'a course of study like a graduate seminar but often open to advanced undergraduates.'

I think you can't even search for glossary entries with fewer than 3 characters. That's why I use Google for this.

Typing in the term there and adding site:proz.com will yield much better results. Has been that way for years, unfortunately.
