Greek term

έξω παρυφή

Greek to English Medical Medical (general)
Νέες αιμορραγικές ολίγων χιλιοστών εστίες σημειώνονται στον φλοιό μετωπιαία ΑΡ παρά την μέση γραμμή και στην έξω παρυφή, καθώς και μετωπιαία ΔΕ στην έξω παρυφή.

(A case of cerebral contusion).
παρυφή - margin? Margin of what?
Is there a more specific word that could be used here?
Proposed translations (English)
1 fimbria

outer fringe?

I settled for 'margin' in the end. I think it means the margin of the cortex.

Greek term (edited): παρυφή

fimbria

fimbria is παρυφή
Did not find "έξω" παρυφή, and a search of "outer", "external" etc did not help...
Hope you can extend this?

Note from asker:
Thanks. In the context of the brain, I'd associate the word 'fimbria' with the hippocampus, although the hippocampus isn't explicitly mentioned.
