Erzsébet Czopyk (asker) Jun 9, 2016:
to all I would like to thank you for your participation.
Erzsébet Czopyk (asker) Jun 5, 2016:
Dear Teresa If you would see the quality of this printed paper you would literally cry (thank you for the correction but I actually DO NOT SEE the O or A / thank you for the Registo Predial)
Erzsébet Czopyk (asker) Jun 5, 2016:
reference to my own question :) The Land Registry is divided into independent Registries, with competence in a specific portion of Portuguese territory (a municipality or a parish). In each Land Registry we might find (Article 22 CRPre): • A book, Diary (diário), where registrars have to settle the applications for registration and the documents attached. Applications must be set on this daily log-book, with an indication of their date and entrance order. This indication is of the greatest importance, since their order decides the priority of rights when various titles over the same property enter the Land Registry. • Folders for registration of descriptions (descrições), inscriptions (inscrições), addings (averbamentos) and annotations (anotações). The folders are ordered by parishes and within each parish by number of the description of the land (article 23 CRPre).

Yes, Erzsébet,
"O(A) Ajudante" means "O ajudante ou a ajudante" (o/a =the)
@Erzsébet I'm aware that your knowledge of Portuguese is limited (suffice to read Registro Prediol instead of Registo Predial). I have searched the Net and so I know that we are talking about the Portuguese system. She's more than an assistant I'd call her an Administrative Officer, acting interim...
Erzsébet Czopyk (asker) Jun 5, 2016:
what the O(A) means? Is that a definite and indefinite article (the and a) only?
Erzsébet Czopyk (asker) Jun 5, 2016:
@Teresa I would happily study your reference but my Portuguese is limited. I am doing this just for my very good friend who acquired a property. I especially marked that I ask for any explanation in English (I am translating from Portuguese in to Hungarian but no one is available here in this pair).

Ajudante
