- Я живу в этом дворе, и я всегда выезжаю и встаю в пробку.

- Так надо всегда выезжать и вставать в пробку, а не ехать по тротуару.

@ ILAN If you don't mind my asking: what were you referring to when you wrote 'call IT a block or an estate'? What exactly is 'it' in your sentence? 'It' doesn't happen to imply 'двор' by any chance, does it?

agree Ilan Rubin (X) : In England we would call it a 'block' or an 'estate'. I don't know if they call it that in the US though
