If the diploma is listing course components (e.g. Теоретический курс - 60 часов, Пратические занятия - 20 часов) then I would recommend "Practical lessons".
"Practical part of the course" sounds fine in an extended sentence explaining the contents of an educational course or how it will be taught (e.g. "The practical part of the course will be taught by a profession with many years of experience in the industry.") but for the situation I mentioned above "practical lessons" sounds much more natural.

[Practical lessons connotes to me what experience teaches us for the future. Perhaps others sense a different nuance.] In any case, let us not cry into our beers or ales, in your case.
As you mention the word "praticals" is another possible translation but I would add that this weird can sound strange depending on the subject you're talking about. A practical sounds perfectly fine when talking about a subject where putting your knowledge into practice involves doing something with your hands but it sounds strange otherwise. For example, in the sciences it definitely makes sense to call theory lessons lectures and lessons in which students run experiments practicals. In a subject like history however, practical lessons fits much better. When I worked in the history department at my university running seminars and workshops with students, the workshops, where students could test their understanding of historical theory by interacting with primary historical sources, were exclusively referred to as practical lessons.
