Hi everyone!
I am trying to fully understand the term "ejes de acción" and two other variations that have come up "ejes de trabajo" and "ejes de sostenibilidad" that I have in this one translation I am working on that is a Sustainability Report for a business.
I am thinking the translation could for "ejes de acción" could be "lines of action" but I also got "axis of action" after searching online.
Here are some examples of "ejes de...":
1) "Nuestro eje de acción está orientado de forma preferente a infancia y jóvenes en situación de vulnerabilidad."
2) "Actualmente disponemos de tres ejes de sostenibilidad: personas, investigación, desarrollo e innovación y operaciones."
3) "Les damos la bienvenida a nuestra segunda Memoria de Responsabilidad Social, que recoge nuestro planteamiento de desarrollo sostenible y en la que recopilamos y hacemos públicos nuestro modelo empresarial y nuestros principales ejes de trabajo."

I have also encountered eje in these types of documents, and have found that it really depends on the context.
The first example could be easily translated as main lines of action.
Whenever sostenibilidad is used with eje, I like the term pillars of sustainability.
In the third example, I would not be so literal with the translation and would go with something like main areas of work or areas of focus.
