Spanish term

"atravesado por el dolor"

Non-PRO FVA Homework / test Spanish to English Other History
Hola,

Había pensado "the silouette of Mexico tainted with stabbing pain"?

Saludos

wracked with pain

I like this choice for the context because it can be physical, mental, or metaphorical. See the following metaphorical examples:

agree James A. Walsh : "grief" may be more suitable, considering the context (but pain works too): https://elpais.com/cultura/2020-05-10/recetario-para-la-memo...

Thanks for your agree, Sandra. Before posting, I looked up "wracked", "racked", and "wrecked" in the context of pain and confirmed that "wracked" is the most correct. Check it out.

crossed by pain

Peer comment(s):

disagree James A. Walsh : This is just wrong. We don't use "crossed by" like this in English; therefore, no English speaker will understand.
