: PhD. es doctor en filosofía, o sea que no se aplica a la odontología. En efecto es muy amplio el PhD. como dices, pero en el presente caso no es aplicable.

Entiendo que PhD actualmente se aplica a casi todos los doctorados de investigación, sean o no de filosofía. Pongo ejemplos más arriba :)
