INSURANCE PLAN CARD
You should apply for your OHIP card as soon as
you have the necessary documents. However, you
will have to wait for three months after you arrive
in Canada to receive it. This waiting period begins
on the date shown on your Record of Landing.
To apply for your OHIP card, go to the nearest
ServiceOntario centre. Bring your OHIP-eligible
citizenship or immigration document along with
two other pieces of identification. These are listed
at settlement.org or findlink.at/hc-docs
To find a ServiceOntario centre near you:

• Visit the ServiceOntario website at

During the waiting period you may be able to
access a community health centre for limited
services. Alternatively, you could purchase

HEALTH CARE FOR REFUGEES
AND PROTECTED PERSONS
During the three-month waiting period for OHIP,
health care is available through the Interim
Federal Health Program to the following people:
• Protected persons.
• Refugee claimants who are not from a
designated country of origin.
• Refugee claimants from a designated
country of origin who filed their claims before
December 15, 2012.
Limited health care is provided to rejected
refugee claimants and refugee claimants from
designated countries of origin.

Your family doctor plays an important role in
your family’s health and well-being. He or she
is usually the first person you contact if you are
ill or need medical advice and will refer you to a
medical specialist, if necessary. However, in some

청약 철회
보험계약자는 보험증권을 받은 날부터 15일이내(다만, 청약을 한 날부터 30일을 한도로 합니다)에 그 계약의 청약을 철회할 수 있습니다. 이 경우 납입한 제1회 보험료를 돌려 드립니다.
계약 취소

In the following cases, the company will invalidate the contract and return the premium already paid.
- In the case you do not get the written consent of the Insurant until you conclude the contract in the contract whose insurance is paid by the death of the other person. However, this shall not apply if the entity concludes a contract with all some of its members as the insurant under the Code. At this time, when designating the beneficiary of group insurance as a person who is not an insured person or its heir, it applies unless it is explicitly specified in the contract of the organization.
- In the case of a contract under the age of 15 for the insurant who suffers from physical or mental disability, or physical or mental impairment and for which the cause of death is due for payment.

● Speak to a lawyer, for free, on our toll-free telephone line—When you call our toll-free line, you will learn whether you are eligible to speak to a lawyer. This lawyer can help you prepare for your court appearance, help you complete forms and tell you about your legal options.

● Help from courthouse lawyers who are there to explain what you need to do and help you when you have to appear.
● Legal Aid Ontario issues certificates to people eligible for them. These certificates are like vouchers for legal services. You can take a legal aid certificate to a lawyer who takes legal aid certificates and use it to “pay” for that lawyer’s services for a certain number of hours. The lawyer will use that time to represent you in court or help you deal with other legal matters.
