Hello there,
I'm 25, and currently a librarian at Bpifrance, where I work on news monitoring, content curation and intern publciation.
I'm also a freelance translator (hence my presence here), and a sports coach (powerlifting and strongman).
My studies include :
- 3 years studying English and American civilization (literature and history), including half a year in Wolverhampton, England. Translation and redaction in both languages were the bulk or the curriculum.
- 2 years studying translation at the CETL (College Européen de Traduction Littéraire) in Brussels, this was done by correspondence, while I was working in a highschool, giving English classes to students with difficulties (as a tutor, not a teacher).
- 2 years studying knowledge management at Paris School for Librarians (EBD), these two years were half-time apprenticeship. First year I worked for Bpifrance, on the job I currently have, second year was at EDF, where I worked on creating and organizing SharePoint spaces for the Finances Direction. At the end of these two years, Bpifrance offered me a job, I gladly accepted.
Thanks to my experiences, both scholar and professional, I feel confident in my abilities to translate documents linked to :
- Finances (economy, banks, accounting...)
- Computers (software, hardware, data...)
- Video games and TV (dialogues are my specialty)
- Sport and sport science (fitness industry rather than entertainment)
If you have any more questions, or anything you would like to discuss, feel free to send me an email.
