The birth certificate was handwritten, because it dated back to 1927. The language was already archaic and strange. I transcribed it and translated it, then I translated a deed concerning a piece a land that the children of this woman, who was now dead, had inherited. Even the measurement of the land were obsolete. A very intense experience.

PROOFREADING OF 37,072 WORDS ON DENTIST'S OFFICE EQUIPMENT
It was a project started by another translator, who got sick, so the client called me to finish the translation and proofread the whole work. I translated 3.799 words and proofread 37.072 words. It was hard, because the initial translator had done a very bad job and the proofreading was harder than the translation.

It was not an especially difficult text to proofread, it was just long and it required a lot of atteention because a few times the slovenian translator had used a word we call false friend, meaning one thing in one language and another thing in another language. I had to ask my employer explanations about that
