I started my periodic activity as translator since 1993 just after my PhD English exam. After obtaining ACCESS certificate (Kiev office of ACE, 1997) this activity became rather regular. I’ve got mainly local clients (including my colleagues from scientific & educational fields) and helped with scientific articles, patents, manuals, theses, etc., of various fields and kinds that hardly could be counted now. I’d like just to mention about making reduction / proofreading of 600+ scientific summaries for articles and theses. Now, being full ProZ.com member since Nov., 2008, I’m expanding my activity into international basis.
My main fields of competence are determined by:
1. My scientific activity. I’m PhD (specialty ' Electrical Tech. Appl. for Agriculture ') and my main scientific interest strongly connected with theme of my thesis. I’ve got 50+ scientific articles, 5 patents and rather good list of international collaboration. The main fields of my scientific activity are greenhouse technologies (climate control, artificial irradiation, irrigation, energy saving, plant monitoring, structure, ventilation, control systems, sensors, actuators, weather forecast, etc.), similar agricultural / industrial processes / technologies ( agriculture, potato / vegetable storage, sorting, environmental control, micro-climate control, ecology, zero energy buildings, new construction materials , etc.) and control approaches and devices (control theory, soft computing, fuzzy logic, neural nets, genetic algorithms, electronics , etc.). It's the first group of my fields of competence. Now I've got small farm into Transkarpatia region of Ukraine.
2. My educational activity. Before becoming full-time freelance translator (since 2014) I was associated professor at Tavria State University of Agricultural Technology and I deliver lectures in fields of Control Theory, Modelling, Food Processing Control, Control System Design . I’ve got diploma (with honors) of electrical engineer (Tavria State University of Agricultural Technology) and diploma (with honours) of mechanical industrial technician (Car Technology College + practical work for Tractor Hydraulics Plant).
That determines the second group of fields of my competence – modelling programs, electrical, industrial & mechanical engineering, car / automotive, food processing & diary, energy conversion, educational matters, homeschooling , etc.
3. My hobbies (amateur astronomy and astrophoto, nontraditional medicine, hobby gardening, hobby electronics, nontraditional building construction, fitness, chess, Ukrainian and international politics, technique & science history ) determine the third group of my fields. Big translation projects in those fields could be done with my minimal rates!
So, I could do the best for you in my fields. Don’t hesitate to submit additional original materials (if any) in Spanish, Italian or Portuguese.
Additionally, I could help you with professional processing of your illustrative materials . For more sophisticated projects of that facility please visit http://www.free-lance.ru/users/Olgasabo
