Hi all,
I would like to know, is it only me in Ukraine who cannot work in ProZ since yesterday, or is somebody else "suffering" like that all around the Globe?
Is there any remedy to expect?

Slow, but working Nov 22, 2007

It was definitely on the slow side for me yesterday, but got there in the end.

Edit: It's still quite slow today, actually.

So many encouraging (?!) replies from the quite opposite corners of the world: thank you all! Nov 22, 2007

Yesterday, it was almost impossible to work almost all day long. And in the early afternoon, a message about Read-only mode appeared. With this message, the semi-paralized functioning became full-paralized for an hour or so. I loosed my patience and went away. In the evening it was almost OK, even if vastly slowed down.

But today it is the whole catastrophe over and over again.

Bad yesterday afternoon, fine today Nov 22, 2007

I couldn't open the Term Search, the Forum and the Kudoz windows yesterday afternoon.
I tried closing and relaunching Proz Homepage but it was completely stuck (I got the error message from Explorer that the page couldn't be opened).
So I had to give it up completely. It did worked again later in the afternoon/evening.
Today it's working fine until now.

Ups and Downs Nov 22, 2007

Stubbornly slow yesterday, then "read-only" mode, which petered out to nothing loading half the time.

Slow today, but it is loading.

I hope things get better for you!

(Patience...)

As with others (in Europe, amyway) Nov 22, 2007

Really quite slow yesterday.
Not too bad today, but not super-fast.

was diverted to a Turkish (??) server Nov 22, 2007

The membership renewal reminder someone else received yesterday came up on my screen, too, except that parts of it were in Turkish and I was diverted to a Turkish server (http:tur.proz.com) which sent alarm bells ringing with my Internet security. I have forwarded a support ticket and then noticed that many of the support staff are currently visiting Argentina. Maybe some mice are dancing on the table while the cat is away from home (old Flemish saying).
