When a ship is stationed in the Antarctic to deliver supplies and personnel to one of the permanent stations, is it proper to talk about docking (since there's no dock as such), or mooring, or is there another term? (There's no mention of "anchor" in the original Russian text)

Yuri, it really all depends on the EXACT sentence and how you intend to use it; but my own feeling is that, unless you know FOR SURE that the ship is tied up with ropes alongside some kind of jetty etc., then the safest is to say 'at anchor' or 'anchored', which is sufficiently non-specific to get away with. In fact, your safest bet of all would probably be to use the very word 'stationed' that you suggested yourself.
