Spanish term

trompo copiador

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.)
From a list of tools used in a Mexican door factory. I'm afraid I don't have much context except for the brand name "U250/Argemi". I believe a "trompo" in this context is a router or circular saw, but I'm not sure how to render "copiador". Any suggestions?

Yes, and I got nothing. I found a Hitachi model router described as a "trompo copiador", but if a "trompo" is already a router, I'm not sure what the significance of "copiador" is here.

Have you Googled the make and model?

copy router

It is common to call a router "trompo" or "tupy" (the last term is mostly used in Argentina, where it was made.

moulder/copy shaper

Not my field - just a suggestion.

Googling the manufacturer took me to this page:

Copying lathe also seems a possibility - any experts in the field able to verify this? See definition:
