Può essere scritto sia in maiuscolo che in minuscolo, secondo me e queste immagini: https://www.google.it/search?q=bandstand cafè immagini&tbm=i... o meglio, queste costruzioni le ho viste durante le feste di paese ( smontabili e rimontabili ), proprio per ospitare le orchestrine.
Credo che non esistano corrispettivi in Italia e che ti convenga lasciarlo in inglese ...

il locale si trova sotto il palco per la banda, e da lì prende il nome...
in effetti andrebbe scritto maiuscolo, visto che si chiama proprio così, ma magari l'autore intendeva semplicemente indicarlo senza farne il nome "ufficiale"...
