In the upper right hand corner you’ll find the “Search” Center.
By clicking the icon to the right of the search box you can select where you’d like to search: this includes your mail, calendar, yahoo or google
Finally to the far right is the “Sidebar” pane.
*You can view it “thin”* as seen here, open or closed.

Now let’s click on the icon next to mail
Your workspace is the application within Notes that stores the links to applications, databases, team rooms, etc.
