This is for marketing research relating to images of fragrance packaging, in which participants shared their opinions on how the packaging made them feel.

Proposed translations
aroma-wise / scent-wise
Nothing to do with technology. Increasingly, the suffix '-technisch' is added to nouns to turn them into adjectives. This is another of your interviewees, hence my (ghastly) suggestion.

Translation-wise (ha ha), I wouldn't normally countenance the use of '-wise', but it sounds like the sort of thing someone would say in a survey.

None of the three packaging concepts manage to convey the fragrance element.

In terms of implied fragrance
The packaging must be designed (both the box and the bottle, if it’s perfume) to make the prospective customer wish to buy the particular fragrance planted subliminally in the mind purely by visual means - without, of course, ever having smelled it.
Marketing is all about the perception of various attributes, tonalities, awareness, emotion, visual impact, connotations and all sorts of other things that motivate or trigger the purchasing impulse and make you buy things you probably never wanted in the first place.
Discussion
Scent-wise was never intended as "marketingspeak" but to reflect the register that the interviewee was using and as an approximate equivalent to the -technisch suffix. Asker's original query: "What does this word mean? dufttechnisch."
