Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general)
Hi All,

I am currently translating a Mexican judgement concerning a sales commission agreement and would appreciate any help translating above in the following context (in a section in which the respondent's objections are being addressed):

Many thanks in advance.

by dint of the underlying partnership

... socios being the members or partners rather than shareholders.

Even if the sociedad were incorporated, underlying would catch the contractual relationship between the members.

Reference:

'by dint of'

The Free dictionary says: "Dint is an old word meaning 'force,' and it is never used except in this phrase.... "
However, although I agree that it is not so widely used nowadays, it is still a perfectly valid term and I would hesitate to say that it is "never" use outside of the context stated.
