See previous question (Bkn) for the suggestion. However, Andrés, I agree with Kirsten. You should ask the client for a list of abbreviations. As one colleague from Spain says all the time, "it is the client's responsibility to provide the meanings of abbreviations, and not the translator's job to go hunting all over the place for hours on end" (and sometimes to no avail). Of course, I am paraphrasing our colleague's words, but in short, I agree 100%. It is not your problem!
