Change log

Aug 19, 2019 14:23: Edith Kelly changed "Level" from "PRO" to "Non-PRO"

Aug 22, 2019 19:04: writeaway changed "Field (write-in)" from "How to murder a rich uncle (1957)" to "listening and comprehension "

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (3): Victoria Britten, Jennifer Caisley, Edith Kelly

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Daniel Slon (asker) Aug 19, 2019:
Victoria, you're absolutely right. I thought she was saying everything, but she's saying: there isn't! It makes a lot of sense! Thanks a lot for your help!
Jennifer Caisley Aug 19, 2019:
@Victoria No problem at all - glad you can't hear it either!
Victoria Britten Aug 19, 2019:
@Jennifer Sorry, your remark came in while I was listening and posting my answer. We are in agreement: "there isn't" sounds a (little) bit like "everything".
Jennifer Caisley Aug 19, 2019:
This is what I hear from approx. 11:04 - 11:13 "Henry, I've been thinking. Those two birds you shot today, there isn't much else, I don't suppose we could have them for dinner tomorrow night?"

I'm not sure where "everything" comes into it - is the time stamp stated in your question correct?
