As a one-time *Authorised* Conveyancer (includes Barristers, Notaries Public & Solicitors in England & Wales) vs. a professionally *Licensed* Conveyancer, I should make the (usually disputed) point that 'conveyancing' covers not only land (includes buildings in Anglo-Aussie law) but also 'moveables' (chattels, goods, paintings & company shares - cut to the other Teresa) > e.g. the house contents included separately for tax-saving purposes in a sale of land.
Whether a licensed conveyancer in Oz is on all fours with one in the UK would have to be tested by mutual recognition of qualifications, but my City of London law firm experience is one of little problem.
