Dear ProZ members,

I have a quick question about the following use of the verb やってる. Two people are walking late at night on a very cold day, when they suddenly find a ramen shop where they can eat. They say:

- ラーメン屋やってるー
- やってるやってる！

I know that 店をやる means "to run a shop", so it could be something like "There's a ramen restaurant here!", but I have the feeling that the speaker might be saying "The ramen restaurant is open!" (you may expect it to be closed due to the late hour).

Could you help me to get the right meaning?
