For launch of new, "revolutionary" perfume for men

olfactory signature
I don't think 'formula' is wrong, but in looking at the rest of the blurb provided, it doesn't seem that what they're looking for is really keyed on chemical composition, but rather on the different effect this product will have on the (male) consumer. I'm reading it as a marketing text.

Try "signature scent" - using signature to mean the new type of scent, but also referring to its distinction, as in "signature game", signature speech - today the word means something that distinctively marks not just excellence but individuality and personality.

Maybe "the distinctive signature of this scent"? I guess trying to make 'signature' a twofer is a stretch, but this keeps the 'chemical' aspect within hailing distance.
