French term

harmonisation

French to English Other IT (Information Technology) Website dictionary
Hello,
This is an entry in a dictionary for an online publishing website. I'm not quite sure what "harmonisation" means in this context, although I get the impression that sites are being merged perhaps.

Dans le cadre d'une harmonisation de nos sites internet...une procédure de regroupement des comptes utilisateurs est en cours

any help much appreciated,
Anne

Another suggestion, I agree with the explanation below. It just seems to me that harmonisation is more used in a legal context.

unification

Bringing it all together
Peer comment(s):

agree DaFranker : Sounds very much like this is about merging the websites and their respective member account databases. "Unification" would be more appropriate in that context.

synchronisation

this could be a more temporal translation, as in merging and standardising concurrently
