agree  Douglas Bissell: Mario, after reading your excellent explanation of past and future tense used in these kinds of documents, perhaps the simple term, 'amount' would have done the job, avoiding any tense issues. Anyway, well done

amount to be declared

Explanation:
It depends completely on the timeline.
Has the amount already been declared (declared amount) or not declared yet (amount to be declared)

amount / value to declare

Explanation:
Short and sweet, just like when you go through customs and tell them "nothing to declare" (nada a declarar).

Use "declared amount" only if it has already been declared. If it points to future action, then "amount to declare" or "amount to be declared" would make more sense. Since it's an income statement, I'm almost sure it's the first meaning. The choice of the verb position makes a huge difference in meaning (past vs. future).

I hope this helps. Good luck.

Example Sentences

Virtually all countries accept the transaction value as the appropriate amount to declare upon import. https://www.jetworldwide.com/blog/bid/384108/declared-value-...

"The above is the mantra of the commercial importer when determining the value to declare to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) ..." https://www.shippingsolutions.com/blog/import-valuation-basi...

declarable value

Explanation:
Declarable : common on customs, tax form and at air- and sea-ports to those of us who have used such means of travel and locomotion..

May not look pretty as an adjective, but bog-standard in the real world of accountancy NB qualified ProZ accountants : and tax where tax inspectors do not necessarily double as nit-picking translators or poets / poetesses.

BTW, declarable amount is not strictly accurate as may be different from the actual assessed value e.g. of fuel used in a car pool or goods taken by a shop owner for own use and consumption.

Example sentence(s):
  • The. UK is a special case where the actual value of fuel received is declarable.
  • When sending items overseas, a customs declaration form is required for items containing articles with a declarable value, such as goods
