2.1.1
e. La Cámara de Máquinas.
f. La Sala de Propulsores.

2.1.1
The .............. is a Wave Piercing Catamaran which is similar to a conventional powered catamaran except that the hulls are designed with minimal freeboard so they tend to pierce each wave in rough weather, rather than ride up over them. The hulls are joined by an arched bridging structure incorporating a central third hull form. This centre hull is held clear of the water line. In extreme weather conditions it provides reserve buoyancy for the vessel. The underside of the bridge structure and third hull are shaped to minimise shock loads on wave contact. The hulls and superstructure are of welded aluminium construction. The superstructure contains vehicle decks below and air-conditioned passenger accommodation above. The passenger deck and navigation bridge structure are supported above the vehicle deck on anti-vibration mountings.
2.1.2
Each hull is divided into six separate watertight compartments whch are numbered from forward as follows:
a. Void no. 1 – These voids house the forward ride control system
b. Void no. 2 – These spaces contain two sprinkler pumps
c. Void no. 3 – These double as a long-range fuel tank and contain a wash bulkhead to minimise free surface effects.
d. Void no. 4 – These spaces contain daily fuel service tanks, upper diesel genset fuel tanks and lub oil storage tanks. A sewage system holding tank is on the starboard side and a fresh water tank is on the port side.
