Born and raised in a bilingual family in Montreal, Quebec, translation was a natural career choice for me over 30 years ago, as well as an exciting opportunity to perfectly balance my linguistic skills and my love of communication.
By the age of 10, I was recording stories on tape for children for the Protestant School Board of Montreal. Once in the workforce, I went on to work as a translator in various industries including food and beverage, advertising and marketing, electrical and electronic components, construction, and home décor. I also completed a 2-year freelance translation project for the Quebec Ministry of Education.
For me, translating should never be a process of simply finding the right terminology and expecting (or worse, hoping) that the meaning turns out as faithful to the original as possible. The process calls for insight and a clear understanding of what the original writer has set out to communicate, so that the translated document reads just as though it had been written in the target language in the first place. This is what I strive for in every project I undertake.
I deliver fast, accurate and professional translations, with great attention to detail. When you entrust a job to me, I fully take into account that part of your reputation as an agency depends on my punctuality, reliability and professionalism.
My hours are flexible, and I am able to work extended workdays and weekends to meet deadlines when necessary.
