Bio

Born in France and with a couple years lived in France, Belgium and now Italy, I've finished my Master's degree in Portugal, in September 2020. Yes, in the middle of a pandemics - which broke out right in the end of my internship, so it did not have much of an impact on my degree. From then, I've done many translations as a volunteer for Christian associations, mostly from Portuguese to French, or English to Portuguese.

It's true that my path wasn't linear, but that means I could accumulate experience from different fields and use them in translation. I started my studies in Engineering, in 2008, in Brazil then in France, before venturing into Philosophy and Theology in Belgium. Only in 2018 I have decided to turn my passion for languages into my main work, going to Portugal, and finishing with an internship in Italy, where I live today. Right now I'm studying Interpretation in Rome, having Portuguese as my first language, French (active and passive), English (passive) and Italian (passive).

My areas of experience, as of now, are mostly defined by my work as a volunteer: religious, humanitarian and general news, in addition to administrative and political translation. I've also acquired some experience in website localization and advertisement transcreation. COVID-related translations (be it public information or more precise medical documents) are also becoming a field of expertise.

As a self-employed worker legally declared in Portugal, I can issue Portuguese receipts (called Recibos Verdes).
