MATERIAL UTILIZADO
Amostra de solo retirado a 30cm de profundidade;
Becker
Picnômetro;
Água;
Forno;
Balança;
Espátula.
PROCEDIMENTO EXPERIMENTAL
Areia: arranha os dedos;
Silte: cobre os dedos com partículas macias, como se fosse um talco;
Tomar uma porção de terra seca (amostra retirada em campo);
Fazer a raspagem com auxílio de uma espátula;
Umedecer os grãos com água;
Fazer uma bola com diâmetro de aproximadamente 3cm
Deixar a bola cair, em queda livre, da altura aproximada de um metro;
h=(Pt-Ps)/Ps=(57,01-56,70)/56,70=0,0054=0,5%
Obteve-se 0,5% de umidade.
3º Passo: Picnômetro (ɣg)
No caso, utilizou-se o picnômetro de 500ml, logo, será utilizado 50g de material.
Procedimento:
Secar a amostra à 105°C por 24h
Pesar o picnômetro vazio, seco e limpo (P1)
Colocar a amostra no picnômetro e pesar (P2)
Colocar água no picnômetro até cobrir a amostra;
Pesar o picnômetro com seu conteúdo (P3);
Retirar todo o material do picnômetro;
Densidade relativa abaixo de 2,65 material orgânico;
Teor de umidade baixo;
Porosidade média;

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN INDEXEs
Only three of the indexes presented are obtained directly in the laboratory: w, γs, and γn. The other ones are calculated by correlations (equations).
MATERIAL USED
Soil sample taken at 30cm depth;
Becker
Pycnometer;
Water;
Oven;
Balance;
Spatula.
EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE
First, the tactile-visual test will be done to identify the type of material.
By rubbing a dry section of earth between your fingers, you can identify the types of particles present by their texture as follows:
Sand: scratches your fingers;
Silt: covers the fingers with soft particles, as if it were talc;
Clay: To check the presence of clay, dampen a part of the earth and shape a ball, the more clay present, the easier it will be to form the ball.
Step 1: Test of the ball:
This test indicates the type of land depending on its cohesion property and consists of:
Take a section of dry land (sample taken in the field);
Scrape with the aid of a spatula;
Wet the grains with water;
Make a ball with diameter of approximately 3cm
Drop the ball, in free fall, from the approximate height of an onometer;
According to the form of its spreading, it was identified that the material is clay.
Step 2: Check Moisture Content
Place the wet material in a Becker and weigh.
Becker weight with wet material = Pt = 57.01g
The material was heated in an oven at 1200°C for about 5 minutes. After heating, it was again heavy.
Becker weight with dry material = Ps = 56.70g
h=(Pt-Ps)/Ps=(57,01-56,70)/56,70=0,0054=0,5%
0.5% humidity was obtained.
Step 3: Pycnometer (ưg)
In the case of using or using the 500ml pycnometer, 50g of material will be used.
Procedure:
Dry the sample at 105°C for 24h
Weigh the pycnometer empty, dry, and clean (P1)
Place the sample in the pycnometer and weigh (P2)
Put water in the pycnometer until it covers the sample;
Weigh the pycnometer with its contents (P3);
Remove all material from the pycnometer;
Wash and fill with water until the reference trace, weigh (P4).
Relative density below 2.65 organicmaterial;
Low humidity teor;
Average porosity.
Grau saturation small, naturally dry.
Through the experiments and calculated values, it was possible to observe a soil where water does not penetrate easily, good soil for the foundation. Since so it has been determined that the soil in question is a Kaolinite.
