English term

Mag compass - \"C\"

English to Spanish Science Ships, Sailing, Maritime Naval Form Terminology
Hi all,

Context:
The document is a log-navigation data sheet.
https://media.defense.gov/2017/Oct/23/2001830891/-1/-1/0/CG_...
The one I have is already filled in.
It´s a sheet where the information about a vessel has been written.

Under the mag compass column, there are some numbers, but also a letter "C" in some lines.

The term:
"C"

What could it mean? Or do you think I should just write it the same, since it might be a universal unit of measure?

Thank you for your help

Hola, Andrés:

Según lo que he leído, la brújula también se conoce como compás, aguja náutica y aguja de marear.

He encontrado esta información de referencia:

• “Thus in using the magnetic compass, the terms are true (T), the direction toward the nothr pole; variation (V), the effect of the geomagnetic field; magnetic (M), the direction toward the magnetic pole of a perfect compass; and deviation (D), the difference between a perfect magnetic compass and the actual compass (C)”. • Aquí hay otro ejemplo en el que C significa compass: https://www.acronymfinder.com/Heading-Compass-(HDG(C)).html

Saludos, colega.
