replicación de discos Explanation: In data storage, disk mirroring is the replication of logical disk volumes onto separate physical hard disks in real time to ensure continuous availability. It is most commonly used in RAID 1. A mirrored volume is a complete logical representation of separate volume copies. In a disaster recovery context, mirroring data over long distance is referred to as storage replication. Depending on the technologies used, replication can be performed synchronously, asynchronously, semi-synchronously, or point-in-time. Replication is enabled via microcode on the disk array controller or via server software. It is typically a proprietary solution, not compatible between various data storage device vendors. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disk_mirroring https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/offset to serve as a counterbalance for : compensate his speed offset his opponent's greater weight -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 30 mins (2021-04-20 14:39:44 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Copia Espejo (Mirroring) se ha desarrollado para proteger los datos contra fallos de hardware en un sistema de almacenamiento.

discos en espejo por bloques desplazados Explanation: Mirroring means that exact replicas of the disks are used; the offset defines the starting point for the disk pieces particularly in a RAID configuration with virtual disks. It also corresponds to the minimum partition size. Note that if the system may work with "up to 4" physical disks, the mirrored disks may be virtual with different mappings on the physical disks. Be careful not to mention those units as physical ones unless you are sure about them. |
