Producing a first-class Technical, Medical or Scientific translation demands professional knowledge - for this reason, you should only use translators who are science graduates, willing to perform background research in the relevant fields whilst processing your translation, like myself.



Medical & Scientific Translations

I strive to provide technically accurate translations for clients whose working areas make this absolutely essential. To ensure this, I work with translators and agencies who use ISO-9001-compliant checks throughout the translation process, but offer a reduced translation rate if you prefer to use your own in-house proofreader.

Unlike some agencies, I include the following:

INTEGRITY if the subject matter falls beyond my immediate sphere of expertise, I advise you to use/provide a well qualified proofreader yourself for your texts. I provide Medical translations FOR Scientists & Medically-qualified end-users, and therefore understand the need for ACCURACY above all other considerations - hence you need to employ a qualified proofreader too. I also appreciate the distinct difference between producing a 'verbatim' translation and a fluid text that native English speaking operators will find easy to read - all you have to do is specify your requirements clearly in the job order.

I adhere strictly to client-preferred glossaries of technical terms, where these are specified in the job order and supplied with the PO.

DTP and Copy Editing your MS Office compatible files can be returned neatly laid out in MS Office in the same format as your original text if required;

Realistic Timekeeping: As a scientist myself, I understand the pressures of tight deadlines, hence ensure realistic and achievable turnaround times are set for every project.

Please Note:

ALL documentation is treated in complete confidence: however, I accept no liability for security breaches during electronic transmission, and will assume by default that you (as Service Purchaser) have discussed Confidentiality aspects with the Data Subject, as required by relevant local legislation, and have obtained full and informed consent for its cross border transmission. I cannot guarantee to stop hackers reading your data.
2. I do not translate handwritten documents.
3. I translate Patient records for end-use Research purposes only.
4. I do not translate records required for diagnostic/treatment decisions unless provided with full contact details for (i) the practitioner who authored the original document AND (ii) the practitioner treating the patient.

New bureau launching in 2018: "gUAVa" - FR, IT, DE, NL, BE & SP > EN Drone & RPAS Translations - Held up by BREXIT, but undaunted, I continue my attempt to drag this country into the 21st Century !!!  Popularly known as drones, but also referred to as remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) these come in various shapes and sizes, ranging from small handheld types up to large aircraft, potentially a similar size to airliners.

As with any other aircraft, an unmanned aircraft must always be flown safely, with respect for other aircraft as well as people and property on the ground. The UK Civil Aviation Authority has the primary aim of enabling the full and safe integration of all UAV operations into the UK’s aviation system.

As use of these devices spreads across the European Union, the need to exchange accurate technical and regulatory information about these craft is taking off too - we hope to provide a high-quality, professional 'EU Language-To-English' translation service for operators, technology developers and regulatory authorities across the continent, and help to advance the amazing potential that UAVs present for UK businesses.
